Staged Reading of Trans Scripts Part I: The Women at the UVA Arts Grounds

 The UVA Department of Drama wishes to make you aware of a staged reading of Paul Lucas’ ground breaking play Trans Scripts Part I: The Women in the Helms theater on the UVA Arts Grounds, November 22nd and 23rd at 7:00 pm.  They have assembled a fully representative cast of seven trans women to bring to life this new work, exploring the life and experience of multiple generations.  Spread the word about this stunning and unique live theater experience.  

Faculty Opening: Assistant or Associate Professor of Sexuality Studies

The University of Virginia's Department of Women Gender & Sexuality (WGS) invites applicants for a tenure track appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor of Sexuality Studies.  Candidates’ field of specialization should fall within the areas of transnational sexuality studies and/or LGBTQ issues in a global context. Research centering on the global south that concerns people of color, disenfranchised communities, and/or indigenous populations would be particularly valuable. Scholars working on LGBTQ health in transnational perspectives are also encouraged to apply.
